The Butterfly Effect Brunch
“If nothing ever changes, there would be no butterflies.”
This last Saturday, my wonderful friend Bianca from @amorydoslatinas invited me to this fantastic brunch hosted by @TheMaryposa. I usually pass on events because I get nervous meeting people, thanks to anxiety problems. But I decided to go and say yes and get myself out of my comfort zone, and I am so excited and happy that I went. It was a very moving and encouraging event. Lately, I've been doing a lot of thinking and feeling so much better about myself and all the goals I want to accomplish. At times, I am afraid for what's to come, and doubts come in, but I felt so positive and even more ready to start my dreams and goals after attending this event.
Many amazing vendors attended so we can support their small business. We also had a delicious brunch, all thanks to @Maryposa's husband, Sissys Mini Pancakes, and The Nacho Bar. !! So delicious. So, of course, the food was delicious, but oh man, the speakers were the best.
Hearing their stories that have changed their lives was incredible and also very empowering. The entire event made me feel better about myself, and it was something that I needed to hear to continue to motivate me. Hey, I even talked during the event and introduced myself and my BLOG! Lol, my anxiety took over, but at least I tried, and after that, I felt so much support from these amazing women that I didn't know! That, my friends, is what it should all be about. We need the help of women. If women don't support each other, then that is a big issue. I was blessed to be in the presence of strong, beautiful, and dedicated boss babes and Making a community for all of us.
We all need to grow, because as Mary says, "If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies." Sometimes we changed through going through difficult situations that make us stronger. Mary has a beautiful story, and I invite you all to check out her Instagram @Maryposa and The Calvin Preston Foundation. Thank you to all the fantastic speakers @aracontrol65, @amigassocialclub, @Raggedytiff, @loansbyarafit, and @earth_crystals_con_amor. Your stories resonated with me and ignited the fire within me. Thank you for opening up and showing how resilient you are.
I can't wait until the next @Maryposa event, and I hope you all won't miss it either.
