HABANA
THE START OF MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
So a few weeks ago, I posted on my Instagram for cool and yummy places to celebrate my 31st birthday! I got many messages regarding HABANA at the Irvine Spectrum. I love Cuban food, so I was like, "I'm there!"
I was not disappointed in that decision. As I walk into the restaurant, all of the decor created a fantastic ambiance that you felt you were in a different location. Some plants surround the restaurant to provide a wonderful escape. Even the restroom had the most excellent decor. The vintage radio in the women's restroom made my day because I knew they were detailed with their creative designs.
As we got to the table, our AMAZING waiter, Luis, made us feel welcomed and made the experience at HABANA that much better. (Thank you, Luis, for the beautiful time, you're the best.)
For my drink, I ordered the "Oh, Lucy" strawberry daiquiri! It was a perfect blend of sweet, fresh, and that delicious rum taste. As for my dinner, I had the "Media Noche" that comes with delicious "Cuban Fries," and my husband had the "El Churrasco." We also had a side of the Garlic Mojo sauce. I enjoyed it and gave it an 8/10 according to my Mojo garlic meter lol Overall, it was delicious. I loved their menu with their selected plates. I love when the restaurant has small menus and not an entire book to skim through that leaves you wondering what is good here, and sometimes too many options can be overwhelming. Oh, I almost forgot, complimentary Champagne at your arrival. How can I forget that! It was delicious.
The music that they played was on point. It went with the ambiance of the restaurant and Cuban culture. For me, the music makes or breaks it for my restaurant experiences. For example, I've gone to a "Mexican" restaurant where all they play is English music. Not one Ranchera or mariachi song, and that for me, my friends, kills the vibe. So thank you, HABANA, for bringing it all together with the music to fully capture the experience.
My husband and family enjoyed our time and the food at Habana. Starting my 31st birthday celebration at HABANA didn't disappoint.
