Mother’s Day 2021
Growing up, I would always see my mother and say, " I want to be like her." My mother made motherhood seem like an easy task. She did it so flawlessly, even though half of the time I was upset because she wouldn't let me out after 9 pm or do quite a few things. Now that I am a mom, I realize why she did that. A mom loves her children with all her might. A mom does everything possible to protect their children because we don't want anything to happen. My child is about to be a year old, and I'm already thinking of how I will be or act once she's older and starts to want to go out! Overall, motherhood is a beautiful journey, and it's a tough one, but boy, it's lovely.
This year I got to celebrate my mother's day as a mom. Last year I was pregnant and was in and out of the hospital due to my pregnancy. Since I am Mexican-American, I got to celebrate Mother's day two days in a row! On Sunday, I spent time with family friends, and on Monday, I had lunch at Allegro in Upland! It was such a delicious lunch, and I definitely recommend it if you're in the Upland or La Verne area. It's a local business! We are going back soon. My husband decided to have an Aperol Spritz to remember our beautiful time in Italy. I didn’t get to take pictures of the food because I was hungry and the food was delicious! I had the Filetto Con Chianti and oh boy, the filet was amazing. It was better than any steakhouse I’ve been to.
From last mother's day to this one has been a great learning experience. I've grown so much and have become a better mother with every day that I conquer. I look at my daughter, and I can't imagine my life without her. She gives me a reason to continue pushing on every day. To have a better life and to spend as much time I can with her.
