London day one
So I just arrived in London, and I am beyond tired. It is 12:50 pm London time, which is 4:50am Los Angeles time. The flight was not bad because it was 10hrs, but I could not sleep. At least I could relax, watch movies and eat pretty decent food aboard Virgin Atlantic. But I wished I had tried the Crepes with Hazelnut for breakfast instead of my meal. Now I’m craving those crepes. Better luck next time. The staff was friendly and very welcoming aboard the flight. I had the chance to sit in the Virgin Atlantic Premium seats during the flight. They were very comfortable, and luckily no one was sitting next to me! Score for me. The people (grown adults) behind me were another story. I felt they were worse than kids on a plane kicking my seat as I laid back to relax. Talking about kids, I am already missing my baby girl back at home.
The landing was smooth, as so were customs. We had to scan our passports, and voila, onto to get our luggage. The last time I arrived in London, the line for customs was 30min-1hr long. This time around, I only waited 10 min. After waiting for my luggage, I was off to meet my driver from Blacklane. He was a fantastic driver and even provided some information about the places we were passing through. We had great conversations and the differences in our accents. I told him I didn’t have an accent, and he just started to laugh. It was great to have conversations with the drivers because it makes the trip go by faster.
I arrived at The Stratford Hotel and checked in, but my room was not ready since it was only now 1:02 pm. I am sitting here eating Board Burger and Chips at the restaurant downstairs, Kitchen E20. Now just waiting for the girls to start our influencer trip with Nica from She’s Out of Town!
