The beginning of Us
So my pregnancy wasn't the most normal in the beginning. My husband and I were trying to conceive for almost a year. Then on a trip to Vegas for business, I started to feel different. The first thing I noticed was the horrible heartburn. I never knew the feeling of it until then. As I returned home from the trip, I went directly to my medicine cabinet, where I had a stack of pregnancy strips ready to go. Though it was a faint line, I knew right there, and then I was pregnant. Out of the thousand hopeful strips I've taken thus far, I had never received a faint line.
I got excited that I decided to make an appointment at the Dr's to confirm. The next day I was so nervous that I left early from work to know the results. I went and took the test, and Dr annoyingly said "You're pregnant. Alright?" I have waited my entire life for this moment, and this Dr wanted me to get out of his office. Luckily, the nurse was enthusiastic. I went straight to Bass Pro Shop to pick up a baby shirt to surprise my husband.
I got home and told my mom, sister, and dad. I called my husband to come home early because I wanted to go to the mountains since it was a stressful day at work. Unfortunately, he decided to stop at his friend's house and I know that won't be a quick stop. After 2 hours and the sun setting, my plan on giving him the surprise in the mountains was no longer going to happen. I had no plan B, so I just decided to leave the shirt on the bed and wait for him to see it. I couldn't believe what happened next, but then again we are talking about my husband.
